Step back into the 1860s during Civil War Days at the Sheldon Peck Homestead! Experience history brought to life through engaging living history demonstrations, historic encampments, and stories connected to Lombard’s own Sanford Peck. Visitors of all ages can explore daily life during the Civil War era and discover how local history connects to a nation divided. Free and open to the public.
Music on Maple Street- Lee Murdock
Lee Murdock has discovered a boundless body of music and stories from the Great Lakes. On June 12th 2026, Murdock will present a concert, beginning at 7p.m.
Noted as a fluent instrumentalist on the six and twelve string guitars, Murdock combines ragtime, Irish, blues and folk styles with his flair for storytelling in songs.

Children's Victorian Christmas Tour
Help solve the caper of the missing Christmas Crackers! The residents are getting ready for their annual Christmas Party but the Christmas crackers have gone missing! Help find the crackers on this brand new tour designed for children ages 4-12.
Children will be able to explore the Cottage as never before in a tour designed specifically for them. Children will be able to make their own paper ornament, and help solve clues as to where the Christmas Crackers have been hidden and get to take their very own home!
The cost is $5 per child and adults are free. Adults are required to stay during the tour. Please note space is limited and all adults are required to reserve a space as well.

LHS Historic Sites and Offices Closed for Thanksgiving
The Lombard Historical Society Office and All Historic Site will be closed Wednesday November 26th through Friday November 28th to allow staff and volunteers time to celebrate the holidays. We will reopen Saturday November 29th.
