Lee Murdock has discovered a boundless body of music and stories from the Great Lakes. On June 12th 2026, Murdock will present a concert, beginning at 7p.m.
Noted as a fluent instrumentalist on the six and twelve string guitars, Murdock combines ragtime, Irish, blues and folk styles with his flair for storytelling in songs.
Step back into the 1860s during Civil War Days at the Sheldon Peck Homestead! Experience history brought to life through engaging living history demonstrations, historic encampments, and stories connected to Lombard’s own Sanford Peck. Visitors of all ages can explore daily life during the Civil War era and discover how local history connects to a nation divided. Free and open to the public.
Join the Lombard Historical Society on Tuesday, June 4, at the Sheldon Peck Homestead to watch the legendary Big Boy steam locomotive pass through Lombard. Bring a chair, enjoy the view from the front yard, and arrive early—train times are approximate. The first 40 children will receive a free train whistle and bubble wand.
