Now Hiring: Education and Collections Manager
The Lombard Historical Society is seeking a dynamic and organized professional to serve as our Education and Collections Manager. This full-time position plays a key role in developing engaging educational programs, managing our collections and archives, coordinating volunteers, and overseeing the scheduling of tours and group programs.

Working closely with staff and volunteers, the Education and Collections Manager helps bring Lombard’s history to life through meaningful visitor experiences while ensuring the long-term preservation of the Society’s collections.
This position collaborates with the Education Coordinator, who manages school programs, scout visits, and birthday parties, to support a cohesive and engaging educational experience for all audiences.

Position Details:
Full-time, exempt (Tuesday–Saturday schedule, including some evenings)
Salary: $43,500 annually
Benefits include paid vacation, personal days, and paid leave in accordance with Illinois law
Professional development opportunities, including attendance at the Illinois Association of Museums and Midwest Museum Conference
We are looking for a candidate with experience in museum education and collections management, strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for connecting the community with local history.
