Music on Maple Street: Dawn Xiana Moon

Dawn Xiana Moon brings her distinctive blend of folk, pop, jazz, and traditional Chinese musical influences to Maple Street. On August 14, 2026, Moon will present a concert, beginning at 7p.m.

A Chicago-based singer-songwriter, Moon is known for her powerful voice, evocative songwriting, and music that bridges the folk traditions of East and West. Her work blends modern American folk with traditional Chinese sounds, creating music that is reflective, soulful, and deeply personal.

Listen under the stars at the Bill Mueller Memorial Gazebo. Bring a blanket or chair. Pack a picnic and drinks, or stop by Dairy Queen for a sweet treat!

This is a free concert but registration is appreciated!

Moon’s music explores themes of identity, hope, brokenness, and redemption, delivered with honesty and conviction. Her album Spaces Between features songs in French, English, and Mandarin Chinese and incorporates instruments such as guzheng and erhu.
