Experience history brought to life through engaging living history demonstrations, historic encampments, and stories connected to Lombard’s own Sanford Peck. Visitors of all ages can explore daily life during the Civil War era and discover how local history connects to a nation divided. Free and open to the public.
Join the Lombard Historical Society on Tuesday, June 4, at the Sheldon Peck Homestead to watch the legendary Big Boy steam locomotive pass through Lombard. Bring a chair, enjoy the view from the front yard, and arrive early—train times are approximate. The first 40 children will receive a free train whistle and bubble wand.
