Join us for the sounds of Summer on Maple Street!
Ben Bedford, 2024.
Join us for the opening night of our Music on Maple Street Summer Concert Series with the return of acclaimed folk singer-songwriter Ben Bedford.
Ben Bedford is not only a gifted composer and storyteller, but also a visual artist whose work brings depth and emotion to his music. In July 2010, Rich Warren of WFMT-Chicago named Bedford one of the “50 most significant Folk singer-songwriters of the past 50 years.” Since the release of his debut album, Bedford has performed across the United States and abroad, gracing legendary venues like The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Club Passim in Cambridge, and Folkstage in Chicago. He’s also appeared at major festivals including the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas and the Fox Valley Folk Festival in Illinois. His music has been widely played on folk and roots radio both nationally and internationally.
Bring a chair, pack a picnic, stop by Dairy Queen for a sweet treat, and enjoy a Ravinia-style evening of live music with LHS!
The Music on Maple Street concert series is made possible with support from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and the JCS Fund of the DuPage Foundation.
