Exhibition Opening: DuPage Theatre Relighting

  • Lombard Historical Society - Carriage House 23 West Maple Street Lombard, IL, 60148 United States (map)

Join us Thursday, August 10th at 7:00pm - the Lombard Historical Society will be re-lighting a portion of the ornamental lights salvaged from the DuPage Theatre which was razed in 2007.  Friends of the DuPage Theatre successfully preserved 45 of the 52 original lights. Constructed by Pete Kramer, the exhibition preserves the history of the theatre through original artifacts and intricate design. Kramer has dedicated over 30 years to researching and preserving the community icon. Join us for a reception to honor the DuPage Theatre and those who worked tirelessly to preserve its memory.

Six original movie posters will also be on display during the event, and we will have poster reproductions for sale.
The reception will be held in the Carriage House at 23 W. Maple Street. Refreshments will be served.
