Local Storyteller and Educator Anne Shimojima shares the story of her family’s journey moving from their homeland of Japan to the United States through World War II, which was inspired by an interview with her 91-year old aunt, who experienced the Portland, Oregon assembly center and California incarceration camp where immigrants and citizens were forced to relocate during the war.
