Plan your Legacy
Plan your legacy by naming Lombard Historical Society, the Sheldon Peck Homestead Long Term Fund and/or theLombard Historical Society Victorian Museum as a beneficiary in a will, or as a beneficiary of an insurance policy to create your personal legacy. Know your legacy will help LHS preserve local history for future generations.

Please talk with your financial advisor, tax accountant, and family to plan ahead. All support in any amount is much appreciated. If you have questions, please contact us at 630-629-1885 or mail requests for information to LHS Finance Chair, 23 West Maple Street, Lombard, IL 60148.

Artifact Donations

We accept donations of artifacts directly relating to Lombard. Period clothing, photos, books, and household items are some examples of items we accept, provided they belonged to Lombard residents.

New Tax-Free  IRA Charitable Donation

Again the U.S. government has extended through December 31, 2011, a special benefit to those of our members taking the required minimum distribution (RMD) from an IRA account. This law now allows you to make a direct transfer from your IRA to the Lombard Historical Society, while reducing your taxable income for the year. Transfers must go directly from your IRA to the donor institution. Most financial institutions can easily do this planned giving. Ask your account advisor.

Donations can be made directly to either Lombard Historical Society or to the LHS Peck House Fund. Please consider making a donation to the LHS capital campaign by making your donation to Lombard Historical Society. Thank you for your continued support.
