Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA)

We are now a drop off site for two CSAs. Community-supported agricultur provides a direct connection between a nearby farmer and the people who eat the food produced by the farmer.

Once you subscribe, you will be able to pick up this locally-grown meat and organic produce at one of our locations:

  • Walnut Acres - monthly meat delivery to Victorian Cottage
  • Green Earth Institute - bi-weekly produce delivery to the Victorian Cottage

Contact each CSA directly for details on share subscriptions, costs, and delivery.

Walnut Acres Family Farm, of Walnut, sells shares of range-fed beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs. The meats are free of hormones, antibiotics, and animal by-products. They offer many options, from CSA shares to freezer meat. Walnut Acres delivers on the 4th Saturday of each month to the Carriage House behind the Victorian Cottage.

Green Earth Institute, Naperville, will deliver produce shares bi-weekly on summer and fall Wednesdays to the Victorian Cottage. This locally-grown, certified organic produce can include broccoli, cucumbers, peppers, squash, watermelon, herbs, and many more fresh vegetables.
Our partnership with Green Earth Institute is joined by Healthy Lombard, an initiative of Lombard.
